Cooper...nine months old

It's hard to believe Cooper is 9 months old.
He keeps us busy...lots of puppy energy.

Solid Footings

2009 was a year where life went off the rails. Job loss has hit many people hard and it hit me hard. During this time in the summer we met weekly with a group of people and studied the amazing walk Jesus took on the water while inviting Peter to join Him. I am so thankful for this group of people, their prayers, their support, and what I learned through this study and this experience. Keeping my eyes on Jesus gave me a solid footing to stand on, and although I sank many times He pulled me out. I have experienced the promises of God personally. Even though I was only off work for 3 months and thankfully I am back to work, I still need to focus on Him and not on the “rails” I perceive my life to be on. I know that whatever 2010 brings my way, no matter how crazy the waves are, and how big the storm might be, Jesus will be my focus, my hope, and the rock on which I stand. He will hold my hand (and continue to pull me out), as we walk the water together.

My Dog Cooper

We now have a dog named Cooper. He is a mini Beagle.
He is currently 16 weeks old.
Life is very different as a dog owner...why did I wait so long?

When I have Peace

When I stop glancing behind,
when I stop peering ahead,
when I stop adding and subtracting to find the balance,
when I stop stirring around in what's going on,
when I am still,
when I look at only God,
when I recognize His Spirit within me,
when I hold on to His promises,
when I know He is in control,
that's when joy sneaks in,
that's when an excitement builds in anticipation of the future,
that's when I have peace.

Photographers talk about "creating" images, but I'm not certain that anybody has ever created anything with a camera. Perhaps it is more accurate to say that God creates, and that some human beings discover. Discovery is not accidental. We discover only when we make ourselves ready to receive.

Ice Art

I always enjoy seeing Ice Sculptures.
Creating images of the ice, the light, the colours, and the shapes
is very interesting.

The Masterpiece

As God paints the picture of this lifetime are you in it?
...or are you off trying to create your own piece of work?
Nothing compares to the artistry and colour that God works with.
Accept the work He has done already
and be immersed in the ultimate masterpiece.

Thought of the day...no picture

Prosperity constantly tempts us to believe we're secure without God and that money can be an adequate substitute for real family values.

The Colours of Fall

River of Gold
My annual fall visit to the river brings me different
images every year. This spot, at the right time of day,
has perfect lighting and endless images to capture.
